This was what kept going through my mind as I was cleaning out my office and packing it up these past few days! With every shelf I cleared and drawer I emptied, I had to decide what was trash and what indeed was treasure, and what was weirdly something in between- like the hundreds of unopened deposit slips from the past 5 years. I had this feeling that I should keep them...but really? For what?!?
There were a few treasures that I found, that unfortunately had to become my trash, that I had to leave behind. I left them in my now empty office and am just hoping that one of you youth staffers will find them, take them home to your office, and that they will be treasures to you- bringing you smiles and joy over the next few years as they have me.
So here they are- my trash- your treasures! Consider this my blogging garage sale!
An original piece of art...
An original piece of pottery...
It's a "nerd" pencil holder that one of my girls made me a few years ago. Notice the back... a sign that says "Kick Me"
An original photograph...
This is THE Johnny Flores. And this has seriously been hanging above my couch for at least a year!
An autographed poster of a world-renowned musician...
Ok, well the autograph is really Mark's...but whatever!
And who am I kidding? I couldn't part with Clay. I'm taking that treasure with me!
Happy Saturday!
Caroline
